Bronze accredited coach preferred
Approximately 15 - 20 hours per week

Blenheim Swimming Club is a small, amateur swim club, based in the best aquatic facility in the top of the South Island ā€“ Stadium 2000.

We seek an enthusiastic, motivated coach who will enable our swimmers to strive for excellence, while assisting the club to promote the sport of competitive swimming in Marlborough and grow our club numbers.  Key attributes are:

  • A passion for coaching and a positive attitude

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A willingness to work with a range of ages and abilities

  • Commitment to lead our swimmers to competitive success

  • Ability to promote enjoyment and a team spirit in the club.

The role will involve a combination of coaching hours and planning and administration.  There is the expectation that the coach will be available for occasional weekend work and be able to travel and attend swim meets.

The role could be the ideal stepping stone for someone with higher coaching aspirations to gain valuable coaching experience and training with swimmers at various skill levels aged from 8 to 18.  It might also be the ideal role for a coach looking to relocate to a lifestyle location.

We envisage this role being on an independent contractor basis, with pay rate commensurate to experience.  Expressions of interest are now invited.
Applicants should be NZ citizens, residents, or have the legal right to currently live and work in NZ.
