This file HERE shows how Competitive Swimmers may progress through the different squads, and outlines what training is expected at each level.

All silver and gold squad swimmers are encouraged to attend dryland training prior to their swim sessions. Dryland takes place in the multi-purpose room on Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu commencing 30 mins prior to the start of the session. Swimmers undertake a series of core strength and stretching exercises, supervised by a parent. It is required that parents of swimmers share the supervision duties.

BSC has a corporate membership to Stadium 2000. For more information, please see this document HERE. [LM confirming info we have on file currently correct June 12, 2017]

Ideally, you should be practicing your dryland core work and yoga several times a week.
If you need a copy of the dryland exercise, see Liz.

This video demonstrates some excellent yoga movements for swimmers, as demonstrated by Tom Barton, a physiotherapist and internationally accredited yoga teacher who has worked with the Australian Olympic Swimming Team.
